The World’s Most Sustainable Hats are now B Corp Certified

We are very proud to announce that as of this January 2023, Topiku has achieved B Corp Certification®, joining an impressive group of 6000+ businesses worldwide committed to creating a positive impact for people, communities, and the planet.

Since our founding in 2015, Topiku’s mission has always been to serve people and the planet while changing the standards of what a hat can do. Achieving this prestigious certification has not only given our efforts validity, but has also inspired us even more to reach our next set of goals.

It’s an important milestone for us as a business, for our entire dedicated team, and for our customers too.

Topiku Key Practices that led us to B Corp Certification

  • The world’s first publicly available carbon footprint report for a baseball cap.

  • Carbon credit initiatives through our other certifications.

    • Climate Neutral

    • One percent for the planet.

    • Carbon Fingerprint

  • Beneficial and supportive working relationships with our suppliers, including upfront payment for services rendered (which is rarely seen in the fashion industry).

  • Working alongside leading environmental causes to support their efforts.

About B Corporations

B Corps are for-profit, mission-driven companies that seek to balance purpose and profit while boldly reimagining the role that business plays in society. More concretely, Certified B Corps meet B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental impact, making a clear commitment to stakeholder governance, and demonstrating accountability and transparency.

How Topiku Became a Certified B Corp

The B Corp verification process administered by the nonprofit, B Lab, measures a company’s social and environmental performance. To become a Certified B Corporation, companies undergo a rigorous review of the impact of their operations and business model on their workers, customers, communities and environment, and must meet a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment.

On the B Impact Assessment, ordinary businesses score a median of 50.9, and a score of 80 is passing. We went above and beyond, scoring 98.9 points!

We are grateful for all of your support over the years, and are as energized as ever to continuing scaling up our impact this year.
